I remember playing Mega Man 3. I used to play every level EXCEPT Gemini man because there was a part where I needed to "duck down" to get through. Since I got the game second-hand, it didn't come with an instruction manual and I didn't know you could do the slide move. So I would just go through and beat all the other bosses hoping that there was an ability to get me through the Gemini man stage. One day, I got frustrated because I REALLY wanted to complete the game and I just started mashing buttons. I accidentally did the slide. Then I started trying to retrace my button smashing to figure out how I did it. It took a little while, but eventually I figured it out, completed the stage, then finished the game the next day (thanks to the password). It was a triumphant day.
